3CX Statistics in Plain Language: Ask for Your Numbers Instead of Hunting for Them
Answer rate, lost calls, peak hours, agent performance: with Expert Statistics, you ask about your 3CX phone system in plain language, and the answer comes with its figures, a chart or a table.
#The Numbers Are There, If You Know Where to Click
3CX statistics are there: every call that reaches the phone system leaves a trace. A manager who wants the Support queue's answer rate on Tuesday mornings knows the information exists. Getting it still means finding the right 3CX report, setting the period and the time range, picking the queue, then comparing with the previous week in another tab. So the question often goes to the one person who knows the tool, or never gets asked.
Expert Statistics already computes statistics for every call on your 3CX: queues, agents, dialled numbers, callers, trends. Its AI assistant now lets you query them in plain language. You write your question as you would ask a colleague, and the assistant fetches the figures.
#One Question, One Answer with Figures
The assistant does not guess: it queries your phone system's statistics with dedicated tools. Queue and extension KPIs, the call log, queue, user and dialled-number reports, caller reports, trends and agent status.
The answer is not just text. Depending on the question, it contains:
- a written explanation, with the key points highlighted;
- a chart, a table or a KPI card;
- follow-up questions you can ask in one click.
Every answer is also a starting point. A link opens the matching statistics page with the period, the time range and the numbers already filled in. If the answer came from a queue KPI, you land on that queue's page for the same period, to check the figure or dig further.
#Six Questions That Work
#"What is the Support queue's answer rate this week, compared with last week?"
The assistant compares the two periods and says whether the trend is improving, stable or declining, queue by queue.
#"At what time do we lose the most calls?"
It breaks lost calls down by hour and by day of the week, and highlights the hour with the highest abandonment rate.
#"How many callers hung up during the welcome message?"
If the welcome message duration is set for the queue, Expert Statistics separates callers who hang up during that message from those who abandon after waiting. The two call for different fixes.
#"Which agents took the most calls this month, and how long did they spend talking?"
It ranks agents by answered calls and talk time, and compares them with the team average.
#"Who spent the most time on Do Not Disturb last week?"
It computes the time each agent spent in each status, and flags those whose Do Not Disturb time stands out.
#"How many calls did we get on the October campaign number?"
It uses the dialled-number report to isolate the calls that came in on that number over the requested period.
#Which Call Center KPIs to Track on 3CX?
The questions above all come down to a handful of metrics, the ones most call centers track:
- Answer rate: the share of calls picked up, by queue and by time slot.
- Abandonment rate: the share of callers who hang up before reaching an agent, with those who hang up during the welcome message counted separately.
- Wait time: how long callers wait in the queue before being answered or giving up.
- Agent presence: who was logged into the queue, available or on Do Not Disturb, when the calls came in.
- Calls per number: the volume received on each number, useful for tracking a campaign or a sales line.
A single metric rarely tells you what to fix. Beyond the Abandonment Rate shows how to combine them, and How Many Calls Is Your Business Losing Every Day? gives orders of magnitude to compare yours against.
#Beyond Questions
The assistant is only one part of the AI in Expert Statistics.
- Scheduled AI reports: a useful conversation can become a scheduled AI report, generated automatically.
- Smart alerts: the AI watches your metrics (abandonment rate, wait time, volume) and warns you when one moves away from the usual pattern, without you having to set every threshold in advance. Classic threshold alerts remain available alongside.
- AI dashboard: one screen gathers what needs your attention: alerts, trends, recommendations.
These features learn how your phone system normally behaves over time. The longer they run, the more relevant what they flag is to your business. Each feature is detailed in the AI features documentation.
#And for the "Why"?
Expert Statistics answers "how many" and "how long". To understand why customers call or why they hang up, Insights AI analyses the content of the calls: reasons, sentiment, quality audits. When both are active, the Insights AI assistant combines the statistics and the call analysis in a single answer. You can also query both from Claude or Cursor: that is the subject of MCP for 3CX.
